Be nice. Be bold.

So the other day I was listening to my radio and the D.J.'s were talking about how mean people are these days. Mostly they were talking about road rage...and how it is all the "rage" these days and it should not be. As I listened to this I laid on my own horn as a man in front of me (who was talking on the phone) stayed stopped at a green light.

In the midst of feeling guilty, the D.J.'s said they had an idea. Instead of being mean when you are in the car, be nice. How can I do that? The answer was convenient: Fast food. Pay for the order of the person behind you. I had heard of it before but I had never tried it. It was being nice to people without recognition for my acts, it was bold.

The next day I put this thought into action and paid for the person behind me at Starbucks...the gesture really did relieve road rage. I felt better about being nice to others around me and I became more patient as I drove to my destination.
